Smoke Studies are required for Pharmaceutical and Semiconductor clean room evaluations to verify airflow uniformity, search for turbulence in the airflow, and locate dead-zones in the clean room and around process equipment.
We provide 2 cleanroom foggers to conduct your smoke studies in your clean rooms. The SMST-12 and SMST-24 produce a pure fog to visualize airflow patterns using De-ionized water (DE Water), Sterile Water or WFI (water for injection). Both Smoke Study foggers are produced with a white polyethylene enclosure to operate in typical pharmaceutical process environments and in semiconductor clean rooms. The enclosure leaves no finger prints and is easy to wipe down. Both foggers use a universal power supply, which detects 110VAC, 220VAC or 100VAC, 50 or 60 Hz. Both foggers come standard with a power cord, Fog Cap and Fog Hose. 12 optional accessories are available, such as 0.6M polycarbonate Fog Wand w/ 90 degree nozzle output; 1.2M polycarbonate Fog Wand with 90 degree nozzle output, 5Mx80mm hose, 5M x 50mm hose, 350mm Fog Nozzle, Polycarbonate extender tube, etc.
The SMST-12 is our low-cost smoke study fogger providing about 0.5 cubic meters of pure fog per minute for about 35 minutes operational time. The single fog outlet is 80mm wide, and the 3 meter fog hose allows for a 0.6M fog wand to be connected to the 80mm fog hose. the SMST-12 would normally be used in small smoke studies such as a 2×4 foot airflow hood, 2×8 foot Bio-Safety Cabinet (BSC). The SMST-12 allows the operator to control the fog velocity by direct contact or wireless remote control.
The SMST-24 is our mid-range smoke study fogger providing about 1.0 cubic meters of pure fog per minute for about 35 minutes operational time. The dual fog outlet is 80mm wide, and the two fog hoses are 3 Meters long and both hoses can be connected to a 0.6M fog wand. The SMST-24 would normally be used in small smoke studies such as a 2×4 foot airflow hood, 2×8 foot Bio-Safety Cabinet (BSC), as well as larger Barrier Isolators and BSCs. The SMST-24 allows the operator to control the fog velocity by direct contact or wireless remote control, and also allows the fog volume to be controlled by direct contact or wireless remote control.
